Thanks so much for the tips. I appreciate it, although to be honest I don't have toomuch confidence in medical studies. They are usually sponsored by some company wanting to sell something and so the scientists simply get the results they are paid to get. I discovered pea protein, which is a great vegan alternative to those yukky slimy egg whites. I'm not vegan, but almost. Yes, I'm on FB. I'm feeling a bit depressed about STILL being out of work right now and it's sapping my motivation to train. I hope you're going well..

Hey Brian,
No, this body of mine still has quite a bit of body fat to lose before I compete, but I'm aiming for October. There is an ANB comp here in Melbourne then. I guess I'm creating the type of body that the figure champions have. I don't think I would ever be a full-on body builder, although I absolutely admire women like Jo Stewart from NZ. Google her - she's amazing!! but there's no way I could live on chook breast and raw egg whites!
Yes, I LOVE Melbourne, even though I don't like the cold very much. I miss Canberra too, but it's a bit quiet for me. Lake Curly Pigeon is very beautiful...and Black Mountain. I'm currently looking for call centre work while I finish studying database administration with Microsoft. What do you do for work?

Hi Brian,
Thanks for adding me. I lived in Canberra for 4 years around the turn of the century. I spent millenium night in Rivett, in fact! I used to drive a Canberra Cab or two as well as working for ANU. How long have you been training? Are you going to compete? I am actually quite excited about going in the figure comps, but I agree with Rosario, nutrition is the hardest part! Getting to the gym 6 days a week is easy, because I love it, but to borrow some phrasing from our old favourite Kermit the frog, "It ain't easy eating clean!"

Thanks Brian, I love working out and I also teach fitness classes, but the hardest part it's nutrition, but I try to make it fun by making up my own healthy recipes...

Hi Brian,
Have you ever competed? I competed with ANB in 2007, done the Victoria State championships and then the Australian National championships. It has been a great moment.
Living in New Caledonia, i have flew a few times to Australia mainly Sydney Melbourne and Surfers Paradise.
I am planning on doing both Fame and FAP Worlds in 2010.
Hope to hear from you soon
